Obituary of Elsie Jane Hauryski

Elsie Jane Hauryski, age 93, of Campbell, NY died Friday March 8, 2019 at the Guthrie Corning Hospital.  She was born December 7, 1925 in Hornby, NY the daughter of Benjamin and Emma (Dobson) Huggins.  Mrs. Hauryski was a graduate of the Painted Post High School and attended Ryder College in Trenton, New Jersey.  She retired as Postmaster in Campbell, New York after 20 years of service.  Mrs. Hauryski was on the Board of Directors at Steuben Rural Electric. She was a Supervisor for the US Census and the Census of Agriculture.  She loved to bake, was an avid quilter and the family local historian.  Her beloved family and friends will miss her greatly.

She is survived by her four children; Joseph J. (Sharon) Hauryski, Angela J. (David) Jamison, Susan E. (John) Rosno and Thomas B. (Kathryn) Hauryski; grandchildren, Kirstie (Doug) DeGraff, Carrie (Victor) Bay, David (Kimberly) Jamison, Melissa (Kyle) Smith, Bryan (Alicia) Jamison, Jason (Tricia) Rosno, Nicole Rosno, Patrick (Autumn Stone) Rosno, Sarah Hauryski, Emily Hauryski and Jen (Lenny) Sutryk, 16 great grandchildren and Jen's kids, 5 great great grandchildren, sister, Delores (George) Leber and several nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her husband Joseph Hauryski, grandson, Matthew J. Rosno and sisters, Kathleen Hurley and Ann Kashmer.

A calling hour will be held on Thursday, April 4, 2019 from 10:00-11:00 am followed by a Memorial Mass at 11:00 am at St. Joseph's Church in Campbell, NY with Father Pat Connor as celebrant.  Burial of her cremains will be held in Chris John Cemetery, Campbell, NY at the convenience of the family.
