I was so sorry to hear about the loss of Kitty. My mom and I would often visit her and catch up on all her activities. She was always such a busy person, even in her retirement, but she loved it all. She'd often talk about her family, her husband, and their past adventures together. She loved the Bible, and we'd often discuss our favorite scriptures together. One of my favorites that we would talk about is found at Revelation 21:4 - "and he (God) will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away." Just as Kitty found comfort in this verse, I pray that this also comforts you.

Your mother was instrumental in my great English today. I loved her so much. She was the best teacher and role model, which helped make English my favorite subject. Having just lost my own mother last week, I feel your pain and loss. Please accept my sincere condolences at this very sad time. May she rest in eternal peace. ❤️

So many good memories of the creativity and good humor Kitty brought to her classrooms during those Haverling years. The Class of '68 particularly benefited from her.

I was a student of Mrs. Ormsby in Earlville Central School. She was one of my favorite teachers. She frequently would give me something "extra" to do, such as read a certain magazine article, read a certain book, encourage me to attend a program at Colgate University. As with many of my fellow students, she cared for us, and it showed. Earlville Central School was special with several excellent teachers, and she was one of them. I miss her.

Mrs. Ormsby was an outstanding English teacher when I was a student at Earlville Central School. She taught us to love classic literature, and was also the director of several plays at ECS. And how she loved to laugh......
