Obituary of Beatrice F. Wells

Beatrice Kathryn Fluent Wells, age 96, of Bath, NY, died November 3, 2012 at the Ira Davenport Memorial Hospital. She retired from the New York Telephone Company, Bath, New York after many years as an operator. Bea was a life member of the Telephone Pioneers of America, Keshequa Winnebago Club, Steuben County Historical Society and a member since birth, of the St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Bath. She was a 1934 graduate of Haverling Central School.
She is survived by nephews and nieces; Neil Bulkley of Corning, Dorothy (Joseph) Marino of Geneva, Ruth (David) Fitch of Grand Island, FL, Frederick (Billie) Bulkley of Naples, FL, Walter (Lucinda) Johnston of Penn Yan, Kathryn (Jim) Bedette of Canandaigua, John Sims of Troy and James (Marie) Sims of Plainfield, IL and several great nieces and nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by her parents, William and Kathryn VanDusen Fluent, her husband of 38 years George W. Wells; sisters and brothers in law, Dorothy and Herbert Johnston, Ruth and Warden Bulkley and Anna and Jack Sims.
Friends may call on Friday November 9, 2012 from 10:00am -12:00pm at Fagan's Funeral Home, 31 West Morris St., Bath, NY. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 1:00 pm at St. Thomas Episcopal Church, Bath with Reverend J. Brad Benson officiating. Burial will be in Nondaga Cemetery.
