Obituary of Nita S. Kleinschmidt

Nita S. Kleinschmidt, age 88, of Bath, NY died January 21, 2013 at the Steuben County Health Care Facility. She was born in Elmira, NY January 1, 1925 the daughter of Robert and Elizabeth Hyde Kemp. Mrs. Kleinschmidt retired as a Bookkeeper for Herff Jones of Buffalo, NY and Gettysburg, PA. She was a member and past president of the Braunschidle Post American Legion Auxilliary of Kenmore, NY She was a member of the Eastern Stars of Gettysburg, PA and Montour Falls, NY and an active member of the Centenary United Methodist Church of Bath. She is survived by two daughters Ruth E.(Joel) Kowles of Tonawanda, NY and Carol (Robert) Battaglia of Hammondsport, NY; three grandchildren, Janet (John) Grove, Andrew (Yuko) Edsall and Jeffrey Edsall. She was predeceased by her husband George F. Kleinschmidt. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 16, 2013 at 10:30 am at the Centenary United Methodist Church, Bath. Memorial contributions in Mrs. Kleinschmidt’s name may be made to the Centenary United Methodist Church, 3 W. Washington Street, Bath, NY 14810, Finger Lakes SPCA, 7315 Rte 54, Bath, NY 14810 and Dormann Library, 101 W. Morris Street, Bath, NY 14810.
