Obituary of Douglas A. Snyder

Douglas Arthur Snyder "Dougie" 60, of Bath NY passed away suddenly on the 11th of July. Born on January 20th 1953 in Rochester NY at St. Mary's Hospital, he was the Son of Arthur Robert Manciocchi and Janet Lee Stuart. He was retired from General Motors where he worked for 30 years. He married Donna M. Snyder on October 6th 1990. He never stopped working after his retirement and he never slowed down. He was on the John Southard Youth Group board, where he volunteered much of his time. When he was not busy working or walking his dog Teddy, he was spending time with his loving wife and children and taking care of his pool. He loved to hunt, fish, and compete in demolition derbies. He was a three time NY State Fair Champion. He was also a proud and dedicated member of the snakes motorcycle club. He was the best husband, father, and friend. He truly was always smiling and knew how to make everyone around him smile as well. He is survived by his wife, Donna Snyder, his five girls Joanie Consiglio, Kelly Snyder, Natasha Snyder, Dionna Snyder, Halley Snyder, his two granchildren Chloe and Jacob. His brothers Arthur Snyder, Eugene and Patti (Pretco) Snyder, Daniel and Dorothera (Barrett) Snyder, Theresa Snyder, Lisa (Snyder) and Pete Lyke and Steven and Sheryl (Scott) Manciocchi, Charles Snyder. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews who he was more then just an uncle too. He is predeceased by his parents, aunts, uncles, and nephew Logan Manciocchi. Calling hours will be on Tuesday July 16th 2013 from 2-4 with service immediataly following at Fagan’s Funeral Home on West Morris St. Bath NY. Celebration of his life will be at the Bath Fire Hall following the service.
