Please share a memory of Loren to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Loren Lorraine Dickson (Larry) went to be with the Lord on March 11th 2020, surrounded by his loving family. Larry was born on November 16th 1937, he graduated from Haverling Central school in 1956. After graduation Larry served his country, joining the United States Army. Upon completing his service, he returned home to join his father Leo and his two brothers on the family farm, ‘Leo Dickson and Son’s’ and married the love of his life, Karen Kress. Larry and Karen were married 59 years and were blessed with four children, who along with Karen, were the center of his world. Anyone who knew Larry would describe him as a selfless and hard-working family man. He remained actively involved with the family business right up until his passing. He worked hard to build the business and support his family. Larry could always be found doing something for someone, always looking out for others, and supporting his children with any and all endeavors they may have chosen. Larry was a lifetime member of the Risingville Methodist Church and a member of the Masons for 55 years. He leaves behind a legacy of hard work, integrity, humility and strength. Larry’s life serves as a reminder to his family and all who were close to him that family is everything. Larry was predeceased by his father, Leo Dickson, his mother, Dorothy Lewis Dickson, and his sister, Sharon Squire. Larry is survived by his wife of 59 years Karen Kress – Dickson, his daughter Deborah Barlow, sons Douglas Dickson (Kelly), Gregory Dickson, Darrin Dickson and Kevin Barlow who he considered a son. His brothers, Phillip Dickson (Lee) and Jay Dickson (Susan); grandchildren, Andrea Barlow, Ashley Paolangeli (Michael), Lauren Barlow (Erik), Gregory Dickson (Sarah,) Katrina Fellows (Alex), Arya Dickson and Stella Harrison; great grandchildren, Leo Dean, Lawson Fellows, Lyle Fellows, Austin Dickson, Max Dickson and Cole Dickson, along with several nieces and nephews.
