Obituary of Kimberley A. Grant
Kimberley Ann (Jones) Grant died peacefully in her sleep with her husband by her side on July 3rd, 2022 on Keuka Lake, NY. Kim was born and raised in Morrisville, NY, the daughter of Donald G. Jones and Phyllis A. Weber Jones. She graduated from Morrisville-Eaton Jr. Sr. High School. Kim then obtained an Associate’s Degree from SUNY Alfred, her Bachelors from Fredonia State and finally a Masters in Business Administration from Syracuse University.
After graduating college she worked for Unity Mutual Life Insurance in Syracuse, NY. Then, in 2005, she and her husband, Rich, moved to Naples, FL where she worked for Collier County for 17 years. For Collier County, Kim initially worked as Director of Community and Human Services and most recently as the Director of Veterans Services and Business Operations. Kim also served as the board President of Creative Junk Therapy, a nonprofit organization; https://www.creativejunktherapy.org/ in Brandon, FL, where she exhibited her exquisite mosaic tables and artwork. She was a loving and joking person who challenged others to be their best. She was a creative spirit with an infectious laugh and a true inspiration and friend to those lucky enough to have known her.
She is survived by her husband, best friend and partner in life of 20 years, Richard M. Grant, her father Donald G. Jones, her sister Lori (Neil) Fagan, and her brothers Edward Jones and Michael (Amy) Jones, in addition to nieces and nephews, and great niece and nephew. She is pre-deceased by her mother Phyllis A. Jones.
Celebrations of Kim's Life will be held at Sugden Regional Park Pavilion 1 & 2 on Friday, August 5, 2022 11:00 am until 2:00 pm in Naples, Florida. And August 20, 2022 at 11:00 am-2:00 pm at Bully Hill Vineyards in Hammondsport, NY, asking for people to arrive by 10:45am, to ensure service starts on time, both servicves will be followed by a luncheon. We will be gathered to remember some of our favorite memories of Kim to laugh and cry and remember a beautiful person who will be greatly missed.
