Obituary of Anne Spear

Anne "Dusty" Spear, age 86, of Hammondsport, NY passed away peacefully at home with family by her side on Monday, May 1, 2017. She was born July 1, 1930 in Canton, NY the daughter of Amos and Lydia Goodbout. Mrs. Spear was a History Teacher and then a Third Grade Teacher at V.E.W. Primary School in Bath for many years, retiring from there. She was a member of the AAUW, Retired Teachers Assoc. Red Hat Society, Bridge Club and Book Club. After retirement she and her husband Irv enjoyed traveling to Florida and sailing in the Caribbean.
She was predeceased by her husband of 63 years Irven C. Spear on 12/12/15.
She is survived by her daughters; Kim Pragle (Henry Port) and Pam Chapman; grandchildren, Tara (David) Winter, Joe Wilkinson, Rodney Pragle III(Amanda Stopka), Irven Pragle, Shelly Shuart, Kyle Chapman and Courtney Bertrandt and 9 great grandchildren.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorial donations in her name may be made to the Bath Central School Library, 25 Ellas Ave, Bath, NY 14810. Online condolences may be made at www.fagansfuneralhome.com.
